For Chef Cristian Benvenuto, heart and simplicity create masterpieces. Born in Carate Brianza in 1986, he discovered his passion for cooking at an early age while working alongside his father in the family’s pizzeria, learning the joy of transforming simple ingredients into dishes with stories to tell. This love for cooking led him to culinary school at Ballerini Institute in Seregno and on to restaurants and patisseries throughout Lombardy, where he honed his skills amidst the aromas of the oven and sizzling pots.
His career grew richer with valuable experiences, from teaching at the Carate Hotel School to consulting for restaurants and private events. Here, he learned not only to cook but to create immersive culinary experiences. In 2017, he brought his vision to life in the family’s pizzeria through La Filanda, his creative workshop, where each day he lives his philosophy: “Put heart into simple things, and you’ll create a masterpiece.”
For Cristian, cooking is a dialogue that blends familiar flavors with surprising twists. He carefully selects ingredients to craft dishes that surprise with their authenticity. His lively nature and drive to grow have led him to collaborate with international chefs and brands. Since 2017, he has been a member of Euro-Toques and in 2023 became the regional delegate for Lombardy, championing his mission to build connections in the culinary world. Today, Cristian views his restaurant as a stage, where his dishes come to life through his storytelling. Each encounter with guests is a direct and sincere moment, where cuisine becomes a universal language made of passion, taste, and sharing.
